Upasana Roy, PhD
Dr Upasana Roy is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University in New York City.
Her current research focuses on understanding how cells repair damaged DNA.
Dr Roy was also co-president of the Columbia University Postdoc Society, Chair of their Career & Professional Development Committee and is interested in pursuing a career outside of academic research.
She came to the US from India in 2012 to complete her PhD in Chemistry at Stony Brook University.
She enjoys spending time outdoors (when it’s warm), and planning her next meal (which she meticulously prepares).
