Ericka Peterson, PhD

Dr. Ericka Peterson is the Executive Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at Columbia University in New York City. Her job includes organizing professional development, networking and wellness events with the rest of her team. She also coaches postdocs one-on-one to help them navigate the academic and non-academic job market, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
A trained neuroscientist, Dr Peterson earned her PhD in Medicine from Aarhus University and did a postdoc at the University of Copenhaguen. Before joining Columbia University she was a medical writer and worked in marketing for several years.
